Improvisers Stephen Dorocke and Z. L. Melton recently convened one evening on the first floor of a historic building in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago, recording these 4 pieces for Dorocke's modified resonator guitar and Melton's acoustic guitar. The cicadas were out in force and determined to be heard, but their continuous song merely contributes to the intricate amalgam of texture and timbre on display in these improvised recordings.
