Stephen Dorocke and Z. L. Melton convened once again to record three more pieces of improvised music. Just days after the making of these recordings, succeeding a 7-year stint in Chicago, Melton relocated to his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri, thus the title for this release: "Farewell Chicago."
